The New Moon

Farmers and hairdressers have both known that you plant crops on the new moon and you cut your hair to get it to grow faster! The new moon is traditionally a time of planting seeds and beginning anew. It is like we get a personal new year every month. You can start anything anew....just take a breath! There you go, you begin again, however it is fulfilling and rewarding to work with the natural energies of the Universe.

New moons are days when I celebrate and create what I am looking to attract into my life and take action for it consciously on that day. I make sure that I partake of the activities that I am looking to manifest in the coming month. It is ensuring that the energy of creation is even stronger. Again, not that you wouldn’t do it everyday, it is working with the special lunar happening of the day!

I always write down my dreams, goals, wishes, hopes, loves, prayers down and keep them somewhere special. My favorite place is under my pillow, so that as I sleep, the subconsciousness is then activated in my manifestation. Your altar, under a crystal, in your jewelry box, kept in the Bible or a special Holy book. Write them down and hang them in your car, so that you see them often. Do what calls to your heart, then it is personal. Make it sacred. Create your own ceremony!

Planting literal seeds and a small prayer with the dirt will help to grow, literally. Plant your dreams in a plant, by writing them down and then burying them in the dirt. Writing down your healing prayers for others. Dedicating a special yoga practice on the new moon and maybe even practicing Chandra Namaskar, which are moon salutations. Hanging prayer flags up on the new moon with your intentions. Writing or engraving on a candle to create the energy that you are looking for. Use certain colors for creating certain vibrations or working with chakra colors. Charge your crystals outside just as you would with the full moon! Make special herbal brews or baths that signify the vibration of your new journey. Call your family and loved ones, let them know that you love them. Have some beautiful refreshments! Bring home flowers. Smudge and bless the house. Count your blessings! Sing your prayers and dreams out loud! The Universe hears you! The Universe only knows YES! Happy new moon manifesting to you!
