Blending The Green
© Anne Calzada Herbalist

Would you like to absorb more minerals, vitamins, chlorophyll and other phyto nutrients from your diet? Of course you would! With the arrival of Spring, now is the time to begin thinking about harvesting and drying some of your plant material not only for tea, but also for powdered blends. These are great to add to smoothies, soups, stews, salad dressings, broths or even use for tea. ...and it's really nice to have some Summer herbs in the Winter too! Here are some plants that are common, nourishing and make good allies as food as medicine.
Dandelion
Nettles
Horsetail
Alfalfa
Comfrey
Red Clover
Melilot
Violets
Mints
Red Raspberry
Plantain
Oatstraw
