 Herbal Remedies For Skin Rashes

Anne Calzada Herbalist

The skin is our largest organ. It is the barrier between us and the world. We love to feel beautiful in the skin that we are in. Sometimes our barrier can become unbalanced. It can occur internally and externally.

The first thing to do for your skin is to go as natural as you can in your diet and what you put on your skin and hair. Women who use chemicals for your hair, skin, nails and vagina need to be aware of the effects. Skin inflammation like eczema, psoriasis and rash can occur from chemicals, congested liver, allergic reaction etc... Remove all irritants like tight clothing, chemicals, keep skin clean and dry.

Nutritional support for the skin is key. Make sure you are getting adequate vitamins and minerals. Essential fatty acids. Acidophilous supplementation. Water. Look for beauty blends that are natural. Most of us have ingredients in the kitchen that will help soothe skin. Learn to regularly cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your skin.

My go to for skin health, beauty and medicine is Healing Heart Herbs

 LAVENDER BUTTER

Formulated for babies, children, women, men, the elderly and animals. I go nowhere without it! This blend is antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial, emollient, moisturizing and protecting.

Skin rashes like eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, chickenpox, insect bites, scrapes, cuts, hives, sunburns all benefit from herbal medicine.

Lemon Water

Drink Lemon water! Cleansing to the liver and gallbladder. Alkalizing the blood stream. Detoxification.

Oat Bath

Take a cup of oatmeal and fill the inside of a muslin cloth or a sock. Throw this into your bath and let the oats infuse into the water. Squeeze the oat milk into the water. Oats are cooling and rich in calcium, magnesium, silica. They are a light nervine that will reduce itchy skin and soothe your nerves. Drinking Oatstraw infusion will help to clear your skin internally.

Aloe Bath

Pour a cup of Aloe Vera into your bath. Aloe is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, demulcent, moisturizing, cooling for the skin, Premier for sunburns. Take some internally in a glass of water. It is cleansing and will help to strengthen and repair the cells. It moisturizes and heals the skin.

Clear Skin Tea

1 part Dandelion

1 part Nettles

1/4 part Peppermint

Blend and infuse. This tea blend cleanses the liver and kidneys and cools the blood. Calming skin from the inside. Reduces the histamine levels, naturally.

Carrot Juice

Blend carrots and spinach together for a cleansing alkaline drink. Add a little ginger or lemon for a boost. Carrots and spinach are both rich in beta carotene, which converts to Vitamin A which heals the skin.

Homeopathic Sulfur

Indicated for skin rashes. Relieves inflammation, reduces swelling and itch.

Coconut Skin Scrub

2 cups Sea Salt

1/4 cup of Coconut Oil

Blend and apply to safely exfoliate and moisturize the skin. Removing old skin cells will help to renew and strengthen the skin's barrier. Encourages new cell growth.

Aromatherapy

Essential oil applications like Lavender, Chamomile, Helichrysum, even Patchouli! These plants are soothing and calming.

Lay out in the Sun... naked if you can even. So good for you! Just be aware of the Sun and your skin. 10 AM to 2 PM is when the rays are the strongest, remove sunglasses allowing the Sun to penetrate through your pupils. Allow the Vitamin D to nourish your skin and strengthen you.

There are lots of other healing plants for the skin like Calendula, St. John's Wort, Chapparal, Mallow, Plantain, Violets, Yarrow, Horsetails, Chamomile, Rose etc... not to even mention the Trees...

Consult with me!

You will uplift your energy and increase your beauty!!!
