 The Virtues Of Rosemary

Rosemary is one of our most valued healing plants that we have. Rosemary is very easy to grow at home and use both for culinary and medicinal purposes. Let's take a look at some of Rosemary's healing properties. 

Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis

A member of the mint family, it is antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, carminative, rubefacient, emmenagogue, circulatory stimulant. 

Rosemary means "dew of the sea". It is from the Mediterranean in origin of home. It does enjoy a dry, hot sandy soil and environment. It is therefore dry and warm in energetic nature. The dried leaves are crushed and used as seasonings in many dishes. Fresh Rosemary is also used if you are blessed to have it. Rosemary oil is used for cooking and also for beauty purposes. 

Rosemary Tea

1 tsp Rosemary 

1 cup of hot h20

Pour the boiling water over your Rosemary and let it steep. Rosemary has many volatile oils in it. Cover to catch these.

Rosemary tea is great for when you are cold or chilled. For an upset belly, it dispels gas. Use the tea as a final hair rinse to increase circulation to the scalp and kill any dandruff if present. Rosemary essential oil is a great circulatory stimulant, making it great for massaging the fascia and helping to dispel cellulite. It is also an analgesic, making it useful for pain relief. Use it in the bath for a healing treatment. Rosemary will cleanse the body, mind and the spirit!

Rosemary Milk Bath

1 cup of Milk or Cream

10 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil

Soak until your heart's content or until you feel the heat of the Rosemary soak into your bones. 

Rosemary is known to increase blood flow to the brain. It is known to stimulate the brain and improve memory functioning. It has been tested in use with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Ancient Greeks would wear crowns of Rosemary wreaths on their heads during study and examinations to ensure graduation and success with learning. Rosemary stimulates!

Rosemary is known to balance the electrical energies of the body and to cleanse the auric shiels around you. It is burned in the home to cleanse negative energies out. Lower vibrations do not like Rosemary. It is bundled and put under the bed of the sick and convalescent for healing. Rosemary flower essence will help to stimulate your energy, both mentally and physically.

As you can see, Rosemary is a beautiful, healing herb that most people have in the kitchen!
